Our

Currently, the group of more than 30 senior citizens and their families is benefiting, all living in extreme poverty. They walk at least 10 kilometers a day for more than eight hours, under sun and rain. Despite their age, they must push carts weighing more than 200 pounds, dodging carts, and many of them have suffered accidents that have nearly cost them their lives or left them with lasting effects.

They all began working at the age of 10 or 12, having come to the capital from the interior of the country. None of them had access to education; they couldn't read or write, which diminished their opportunities, but not their desire to get ahead through honest, hard work.

Some of them are over 80 years old, so they can no longer go out to work and need full support. Some of the elderly suffer from terminal illnesses that force them to rely on expensive medications to survive.

The project began in 2020, providing them with dignified assistance and comprehensive care for a better quality of life. All support is welcome and appreciated, as we continue to contribute to creating better living conditions for each of these deserving seniors.

At the moment

Most of them are abandoned by their families and must work to survive. Their medical treatments cost up to Q2,000 a month, and their earnings from selling ice cream are often less than Q20 a day.
